Star Trek: What We Knew in 1970 – Episode 3

After five spin-offs, and twelve movies, it’s hard to remember what being a fan of Star Trek was like in 1970.  Then, there was only the original 79 episode of just the first series.

Co-hosts Bob Turner and Kelly Casto take you back to a time just after the original series went off the air and discuss the universe of Star Trek at the time.  There were no Borg, no wrist communicators and we didn’t know Captain Kirk had a son.

The Star Trek universe wasn’t as big as it is today, but it wasn’t as small as you might think, either.  All the elements that make up the later versions of Trek are there, seeded in the original 79 episodes of this cancelled show.
